Our Community

Jesuit High has evolved tremendously since 1956, when the Society of Jesus opened a new high school for young men on an old dairy farm. Throughout the decades, community has remained a hallmark of our school; in fact, “community” is emblazoned in our Mission Statement. Today, Jesuit is a vibrant, coeducational, nationally-recognized leader among Catholic schools. Our 1275 students are led by a passionate and inspiring faculty who balance high expectations (Age Quod Agis) with deep care for each student (cura personalis).

Our Campus Ministry and Christian Service programs are the twin pillars of the Jesuit High community. Our weekly Friday liturgy, lovely all-school Masses, and dynamic retreat program make deep imprints on our students' faith lives. Jesuit's community extends to the Portland metro area, where our students engage in Christian service, jump with gusto into the annual Christmas Food Drive, and participate with our sister Catholic high schools in the Walk for Joy, a fundraiser for the Children's Cancer Association.

Walk our hallways, come for a Friday Mass, or stop by a ballgame, and you will immediately sense why the Jesuit community is unique. We welcome you to join us.
